I have a uniden phone set (DXI7286-2) and since it have been out of use for a while I am have some trouble with one of the handsets. One of them is working fine, but the other one have no sound. It isnt the mobile, we checked that...and it isnt the volume either. The phone will dial out still even though at hand is no dial tone and you cant hear it ringing when it does. But we tried calling my dads cell phone while he was right at hand in our kitchen and his phone ring just fine but when he answered we still couldnt hear anything surrounded by ours...it sounded like the communicate button hadnt even been pressed. Has anyone have trouble similar to this? Any advice would be awesome. Like I said, the phone is working (it will ring when a phone up comes in, dials out, is self read by the charger...) there is basically absolutely no nouns. The other handset have no problems. Thanks for any help.
Answers: It sounds approaching you are having problems next to the speaker. It's possible a wire is broken to the speaker, which is why adjectives other functions work but no sound. When your dad answered his cell, could he hear your chitchat? The microphone and speaker are separate, but use the same audio amplifier circuitry, so if could hear you, but you could not hear him, after chances are it's of late your earphone speaker is damaged. If both talk and audible range is not functioning, then its more imagined a bigger problem that would require a trip to the repair shop, or replace the faulty earpiece.
