Can you use old-fashioned (around 1980s) discolored plastic phones?
Answers: If you can get a dial tone it should work, remember on some phones next you have to move the mode setting, any to tone or pulse mode, can't remember which way, a moment ago try both ways, you can receive calls on any mode, but to dial out it has to be on the right mode, (try dialing out to a number) if the phone is equipped next to it.... if it doesn't have one you should be set to step, if you get the dial tone...........no robustness risks, that I know of.................
The only issue is that it may not enjoy a newer plastic jack to plug into the wall, and instead may have a 4 pronged metal jack (similar to a power plug). But if it have the little jack, it should be just fine.
Just plug it contained by and if you get a dial tone, you are contained by business.
Yes- we have one of the first phones that we could buy-for $150-and it still works fine!
1980's is not THAT weak... it is the same broad technology that is self used today (with the exception of VoIP)
it used the same plug surrounded by the 80's that it uses today... how young are you society on here? you have to travel back another 10 or 20 years since the modular rj-11 plugs werent used...
what kind of form risk would you get from using a phone?
the ONLY condition risk that you realistically have while using a phone is during a lightning storm if you are using a corded phone...
