Phillips magic5 fax?

We have the above and when ink roll run out, we didn't replace it, because we be not using it but left it on. Today we put a untried ink roll in, but it must own stored messages and it want to print all messages since later july..........how can we get rid of messages and not print and rubbish ink film.........tried unplugging
