Do I obligation to enjoy regular phone lines / jacks?

to get phone service through my cable provider (Insight)? The house we are looking into have the cable phone service provided to does not have any current phone installations. I wasn't sure if anything in truth went through the phone lines. Thanks!

Answers:    Yes, you will inevitability to have regular phone lines and jacks. I hold Shaw and it worked fine with regular phone lines and jacks. Ask Insight for more assistance.
you do not NEED phone electrical system to get phone service next to your cable provider as long as you only want one place to plug your phone (into the stern of the modem or phone device) but for convience if you want to have phones elsewhere contained by your home you should consider either an expandable phone phone (preferably a panasonic DECT phone) ot get phone electric wiring installed)

the cable company can proballay set you up with auxiliary telephone electrics and jacks if you wish, but i do not recommend a cable tech installing phone electric wiring, from my experience in have to fix what they do... they use cheaper materials, and are not as qualified to install/maintain/repair phone wiring and jacks, I would recommend going to craigslist, or elsewhere to find a local phone tech to run cable and jacks if you want them... but you do not NEED them...
