i ordered local phone service for att through their website, they said that it would be installed on the 1st but no one ever showed up to install it. i checked the phone and its broken, i called within to check order status and they said it have been installed, i bid the phone number they said theyd assign me (its a new phone not switching an existing phone line)and it newly keeps ringing without a doubt not at my house though. every time i call customer support the stupid automated sys say its busy(obviously alot of problems with the crappy co.) and it cuts me rotten! i sent an email about this....never get awnsered. i am going to be realy mad if i seize a bill from them and never even had the phone installed contained by my house! what should i do??
Answers: If you did not specifically order the service adjectives the way to the jack contained by the house, att cannot legally distribute someone out to make such it is working surrounded by your house. That is what deregulation is all roughly speaking.
Your line is probably working to the protector outside your house or contained by your garage. You have 3 choices provided to you by the Federal affairs of state: 1) you run it your phones yourself, 2) hire someone else to do it, or 3) request at extra charges that att do it for you.
If you have a friend that's familiarized with low voltage electrics, or if you know an electrician you can have them check it for you.
Or of late go ahead and demand an inside job from att.
Sorry ,I do not know much nearly phone connections, But I believe the person above me is right ,they connected the phone ,but not contained by the house.
