Aliant or Rogers or Eastlink?
Answers: Aliant is the incumbent exchange carrier, formerly call Maritime Telephone and Telegraph and has be around for 100+ years.
Eastlink is an independant that has be around (I'm guessing) about 10 years and commonly relys on Aliants cable infrastructure. This is important when you enjoy to place a repair call. You would stipulation to contact Eastlink and if it turns out the trouble exists on the Aliant cable infrastructure Eastlink would then refer the trouble to Aliant. This can create extra delay in fixing the problem.
Rogers is relatively brand new into the telephone industry and I am not sure if they use Aliants cable infrastructure for touchtone phone service.
My guess is Aliant would be the most expensive, Rogers next and Eastlink the cheapest. I would grant Rogers a try because at least their giant speed service would be running on coaxial cable which is more robust for transmitting data. You also are not going to hold to worry almost Rogers being swallowed by a larger company approaching you would with Eastlink.
