What VOIP provider is reliable and works next to Faxes?

I initially used Sun Rocket and was to a certain extent pleased with them until they go belly up. I was competent to send fax's out, but not receive them. After they go out of business I switched to VOIP.com but haven't been really satisfied. They are OK, but not as good as Sun Rocket be. Fax is out of the question and VMWI only just works on the phone when there is a message. I hold been doing some inquiring on the internet and get really mixed reviews; some citizens hate Vonage - other love them. I own been considering Vonage, VOIP Your Life; Voice Pulse or ATT's Call Vantage. Does anyone hold a strong recommendation?

Answers:    A lot of factor can affect the ability to send/receive Fax over VoIP lines. One requirement that must be met is that the service provider must support G.711a/u codec and it must be enabled on your VoIP ATA device (this allows Fax intervene through functionality). If you find G.711 codec still not working for you, try using an ATA next to T.38 protocol support(specifically for FAX). For example, the Linksys Sipura 2102 ATA VoIP adapter supports the T.38 Fax protocol.

I have VoIP home phone service near InPhonex and CallCentric.
InPhonex claims that if you use G.711 codec, Fax will "usually" work over their service. InPhonex also sells the Linksys SPA-2102 adaptor, optionally (or, BYOD - bring your own device).

CallCentric states that Fax will work over their service and is "free" if you hold purchased a DID (direct inbound dialing number) number with them (as low as $1.95/month). As very well, with CallCentric you can set your Faxes to be stored online and faxed to your email justification - free. CallCentric is BYOD only. I use Linksys PAP2T near InPhonex on one line and CallCentric on the other column. (I am not using Fax, though.)
I have links to these services surrounded by my personal web site call "CQ VoIP Call" (link is in my profile).
None of the VoIP providers are 100% reliable, but you can try this!! Some of the best fax machines for VoIP are the free-standing aged fashioned ones, set up your fax with the overseas mode.....afterwards change the baud rate to 9600....if adjectives esle fails nurture just one page at the time....! I use Packet8 and never have a problem....I know they took over many hoary customers from Sunrocket....

I also have an narrative with the "free"....www.Efax.com...adjectives my incoming faxes going there, via my email, but for outgoing you will call for a flatbed all-in-one printer! Packet8 has a offer fax-line too, but it has a monthly charge just approaching Vonage!!
