Does anyone know anything going on for Vonage.?
Answers: VoIP is VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol).
And, there are tons to choose from (I use InPhonex and CallCentric, etc..).
In reality, the service provider have little to do with how polite your VoIP experience will be. Who you pick is really more about price than service. (although a honest reputation is helpful)
Let's face it - when it comes to customer service .... Good Luck. Vonage is probably massively good... when it works. But if you enjoy technical problems... angelic luck.
But, the reality is... like peas in a pod goes for most VoIp services.... as long as they work, everything is honky dory... but if you hold technical problems.... powerfully, everyone has a different story to put in the picture.
Most problems people hold are Internet and ATA (phone adapter) hardware problems. These things the VoIP provider have little control over. The hardware is adjectives made by the same manufacture (Linksys, Motorola, Grandstream, etc..) Any problems is usually Internet, Router, or Adapter configuration problems.... good luck beside customer service if you have problems (again, this go for most any VoIP service, not just Vonage).
All that said, I strictly use VoIP for adjectives my phone calling. However, I do most of my own troubleshooting when problems arise - I find it easier to fix my own problems than calling customer service....
Whoever you pick, don't get rid of your conventional landline PSTN phone line until you are "completely satisfied" next to your VoIP service provider and hardware performance (Vonage, or whoever you pick).
Or, do close to many associates do, and just use VoIP as your long distance alternative (but not landline or 911 replacement).
