Only the older 'NiCad' type battery have a 'memory' effect. The newer NIckel Metal Hydride and Lithium Ion battery do not have any memory worries.!! V-Tech phones are specified for poor battery go among other issues. If you talk plentifully on the phone, it will drain the battery swiftly, including the display, which if in color, take quite a bit of vivacity from the battery quicker!! Make sure it is in truth charging, and consider returning it for one with better ratings, similar to Panasonic.
