Magic Jack USB VoIP Device. What's the difference between Magic Jack and Vonage?

I have Vonage, which is VOIP, but we repay for Vonage to have
our business phone numbers (4 of them) and salary about $50 to
$75/month for this and we love it. Plus, we hold 1 bellsouth phone landline because we have a shelter system that requires a landline. I also have a Vonage V-Phone, which is a small USB phone that plugs into any computer near broadband connection. The V-Phone does connect
through our vonage article. I'm trying to figure out what the difference surrounded by Vonage and Magic Jack is? For Magic Jack, the video said you pay $40 for the usb device and
your call are free. When I went to ebay to see prices for Magic Jack, the description say Magic Jack VoIP Free Calls To and From USA. What's the real difference? The short video I be sent is here: http://www.magicjack.com/site/index.html

Answers:    I use a MagicJack!!

Vonage you connect thru your modem, and MagicJack you connect thru the USB port, hence the computer gotta be on!!

MJ is not really a true VoIP....like Vonage or Packet8......they shift right thru your modem....so the Computer doesn't have to be on "ON".....MJ go thru your USB port....so is you turn your computer off.....no phone call either....!

I own Packet8 as my phone and use the MJ as a second line....for 20 bucks a month its pretty cheap, and the E911 appointment is free.....they also have nice VM and features....!

you don't own to buy an expensive VoIP phone any cheap analog phone will do...!

MagicJack runs kinda piggy-back Ymax.......most ppl use GrandCentral with MJ....surrounded by case you don't bring your area-code!!

I also took it with me on break last year surrounded by Europe.....and used it to call hindmost USA with and US area-code for free!!
thats a righteous question I hold wondered the same myself

artifice jack requires a PC to operate, for a residential additional queue, or replacement it is fine... i would not recommend a business running there lines rotten of magic jack... at smallest not for now...

vonage is connected to your phone lines near an ATA connected directly to your internet connection and does not require a PC

the trickery jack is similar to the usb vonage jack that you have... it is virtuous for basic usage, but not the best for business communications...

for some customers mobile contact with you can be within only contact near your business, if you do not choose a reliable carrier, and service it reflect poorly on your company...

only paying 40-70 a month for 4 business phone lines is a completely good settlement, i would not try to pinch pennies with this set up

your cable company VoIP services will provide you near the best QoS tho...

You already have 4 of your 5 business lines on VoIP... I would not hold recommended that, UNLESS you have redundant internet service... in attendance is now singular a single point of failure (your internet connection) between adjectives your lines working, or all of them person out of service... and if that POTS line is your DSL file... well next I guess that means adjectives of your lines will be down in the event you lose your internet nouns...
I also use the magic jack and if you inhabitants out there dont enjoy one yet you better grasp one !! it is amazing i travel alot internationally and take it whereever i be in motion and call the US for free . There is zilch else out there close to it . I use it at home and call my clan and freinds back east day by day and it cost nothing. Its my unsullied favorite !
