What options do I enjoy for INBOUND faxes if I combine to 1
line (voice)

Outbound I merely make the fax -a phone extension and tolerate it rip


Oh what about my answering apparatus that kickoffs on the fourth ring


Answers:    Have you thought of switching to a fax-to-email service?
I use one provided free of charge by my ISP. They own attributed me a separate voip number for incoming faxes and automatically email them to me in PDF format.

Plenty of pattern sites provide a similar service.
you get a characteristic called identi ring or distinctive ring...you will hold your own seperate number for the fax machine minus having a serperate strip ( i work for the phone co...) hope it helps.
