BT landline: When I sign a contract, am I tied to it for a set amount of time (i.e. 12months)?

I just signed a contract for the strip rental (no call plan or anything, merely the basic contract) on June 2007. I would similar to to cancel BT contract presently.

Answers:    no cant cancel it. once uve signed a contract for any buisness u hav to hold the contract until it expires. i hav the same for my laptop it broke and get a new one. it,s a moment ago sitting there and cant lift it of contract until summer.
