I just ordered a cell phone from Verizon Wireless...how does this compare with Cingular, T-Mobile, and Sprint?
Answers:
okay. i think im fully qualified to answer this as ive had all of them.hahaha. okay. ive had verizon twice, 1st and now. i only got rid of it because they didnt have unlimited texting, but now they do, so i am back with them because they have the best service. sprint is okay, i didnt really have a lot of complaints with them, but i switched to tmobile because i was getting on my boyfriends plan. big mistake, t mobile has horrible service.they would always be scratchy and drop. it was horrible. and cingular has hidden roaming charges and all this stuff so i dont trust them, dont remember about their service. VERIZON ALL THE WAY! which phone did you geT?? i have the samsung u740, its amazing!
it depends upon where you're at. for example in my neck of the woods vzw works best...but then I'm located in the middle of nowhere Iowa.
VZW has the alrgest service area, but not all of it's areas have the full range of features available like Cingular and T-Mobile's networkds. in large metro areas I go with whoever gives you the best deal as they'll all work equally as well.
there is no comparison...Verizon is by far the best. Good choice.
When I was a Cingular rep, I always told people that "choosing cell phone coverage is highly independent." There isnt a single answer to everyones needs on any one network.
When deciding on a network, you need to to make sure that the service is rock solid in three places in your life...
Where you work
Where you play
Where you live
If your cell network cant provide you with enough bars to make and recieve reliable communication in those areas, then its not right for you.
Verizon and ATT are VERY similar in signal coverage area nationwide. I could go on and on about "more bars in more places" and other catch phrases both companies will throw at you, but the truth is that each company has its benefits and drawbacks.
So if you chose verizon after checking coverage maps and felt it was best for you, then you likely made the right choice. If not, make sure that you take the phone you get and check to make sure it works wherever you need it to work before the buyers remorse period comes around. Remember, no matter which company you are with, your are likely in a 2 year contract, so make sure it works.
Incidentally, where I live, ATT has the best coverage where I am at, but my next door neighbor disagrees, so its all HIGHLY personal. Best way is to get the phone you ordered, and try it out.
