You can indeed utilize page plus (I originally assumed you wanted to stay near Verizon) but the 6 cents a minute assumes you buy the refill cards within the highest denomination. The material cost per minute is between 12 cents (if you get the ten dollar replenish card) and about 6 cents (if you get hold of the 80 dollar refill card).
Additionally, while pageplus doesn't own a daily access levy for basic service, they DO enjoy an unlimited nights and weekends card you can purchase. But, while that card will supply you unlimited nights and weekends, it DOES own a daily access levy attached to it (99 cents a day) and bills you for non night and weekends call at 12 cents a minute.

I'm not sure how Verizon works with this, but I hold done it with Cingular since. You have to motivate the phone as prepaid, then you are competent to buy the cards and add them on. Call them and own your SIM card or serial # ready. They should merely have to click a few buttons to turn on prepaid for you.
