Unlocking a sidekick?

ok i realy wanted a sidekick 3 for christmas untill I found out around the 20 dollar plan for every month and my parents won't let me receive it because they and I do not want to pay that every month!! so if you unlock it what does it do? approaching does it make it work lacking the plan? so i can text and articulate and everything??
I really just want to know what will come to pass when it gets unlocked?


Answers:    Get Sidekick pre-paid. It's $1 a light of day for unlimited everything except texting, and 15 cents a minute for calls. The down side, you own to pay the full price[$399.99].
You can't unlock the phone to work next to another company.
Unlocking a phone just money that the phone can be used with any service provider... it doesn't convert any features. The $20 fee is the facts plan, which means that you can use the internet and instant messengers as much as you want, as it would be unlimited. If you don't buy the $20 background plan, you can still text message and give the name people if you already hold a regular plan. With T-Mobile, you can get the sidekick (it doesn't own to be unlocked because T-Mobile is the carrier) and get texting near your regular phone plan. It's the internet & instant messengers that require the data plan.
