I have the LG Chocolate phone (the slide, not the flip - although I'm not sure if the phone type is relevant here), and it supposed to be capable of use external memory for music. I tried synching stuff to it with my usual program I use for my ipod, and it worked, but when I put the disk contained by the phone, it said nothing be on it (although it did acknowlege that the disk was inserted). There be also an option on the phone that said "format disk" but that didn't do the trick...

Once you format the SD card the first time you should be set.
I regard as your real problem is what you are using to put the music on. If you are using iTunes (which you'd enjoy to be to put music on an iPod) it isn't going to work with your chocolate no business how you try.
