Can i bring back a sidekick to work next to an at&t sim card?

^^^(question above)...........i have a friend who is going to put up for sale me a sidekick III for pretty cheap, BUT i have AT&T. So I be wondering if the sidekick works with an AT&T sim card. I know the internet won't work but will the phone itself (like chitchat on the phone) and texting work?


Answers:    It would have to be unlocked first. Good luck near unlocking it. Sidekicks are VERY hard to unlock. T-Mobile can't even gain an unlock code for Sidekicks. Even if you were to deal with to unlock a Sidekick, you wouldn't be able to use ANY of the background features when using it with a provider save for T-Mobile. Sidekicks require special data servers from Danger, Inc., which can with the sole purpose be accessed through T-Mobile's gridiron. These settings cannot be changed.
Well ,only if u achieve the phone unlocked, will u be able to this. and yes its possible because they are both Gsm networks. And if u unlocked the phone it wont be much of a loss , solitary ur internet access will be disabled. Camera, games, mp3 player etc will still work and good luck beside unlocking the sidekick. Its a great phone.
