so firstly u own to convert ur file to wav format.
later go to start>program>accesories>entertainment>s... recorder
uncap the converted file(*.wav)

press the interruption button. click on edit and select "delete until that time current position".

Since sony does't support wav format so own to convert it back to mp3.
