Answers: Despite what swift_wizdom say, the iPhone DOES use a sim card.
On the top of the iphone, right next to the go before phone jack, you will see a very small hole. Insert a straightened daily clip into this hole firmly and this will eject a small steel sleeve. Don't panic - you enjoy not broken it ;-) Insert the sim card into this sleeve (there is a diagram to show you how to insert it) and then slide the the sleeve put money on into it's original position.
