I just ordered a untried battery bad of my warranty for my cell phone (because it seems close to it's dying too early, but I'm not sure if I lately accidentally unplugged the charger on accident overnight) and I didn't enjoy a card handy so the guy said to just distribute it in when I bring back the new one (I guess as a "trust" thing). He said he'd dispatch me an e-mail with the info on how to dispatch it back and whatnot, but I be wondering - what if you don't send it rear legs? Can they do anything? Technically, you did pay for it and the warranty covers a unusual one with fault not from "normal wear and tear". Also, is here a new one year warranty on the contemporary one?
Answers: They can charge you a fee for not returning the equipment. Also, they can charge you a allowance if they find that the cause of the hitch is not covered under warranty. It happen to me. I filed for warranty for a honestly new phone I bought when the display go out a few months after I bought it. I was gonna record an insurance claim and pay the $50 deductible. The rep. urged me to use the warranty that be available that I wasn't aware of. However, when they got my "new" phone final, they stated that it had "internal moisture damage" and billed me $75. The refurbished replacement didn't work any, and I wound up buying another new phone out of my pocket. I'd never recommend the warranty program to anyone. The companies can stick you next to odd charges even if you *do* return the equipment. If you hold a phone insurance plan, I'd recommend using that instead.
