i have verizon but what's the subsequent carrier that's going to seize the iphone

at&t have a 5 year deal near Apple for exclusive use in the USA.

T-Mobile , O2, Rogers and others will be carrier this year or next for non-USA.

a hack iPhone would work on any GSM network. (in the US that's AT&T or T-Mobile)... but that's banned (wink wink)!
