I have at&t and have need of to replace my cell phone. My sister has tmobil and requests to give me her weak phone, and got the unlock code for it. She will be giving me the phone surrounded by a couple weeks. Will this phone work for me? Can I use it for text, instant messaging, and multi-media messaging? (I know tmobil doesn't use medianet resembling at&t does)

Yes, but at&t is quad fastening while tmobile is only tri group, meaning that that extra belt for at&t gives more reception, depending on your nouns. Other than that it should work fine.
