When I turn on the phone it asks for a 4 digit code. I forgot the code. Is there any passageway to bypass this or reset it or is the phone junk in a minute? The phone is not activated right presently and is a Cricket phone. (don't know if this stuff matters)

If the phone is truly yours and you aren't trying to get into someone elses earpiece..
You should be able to punch the wrong code contained by three times then the phone will PUK lock itself, contained by your phone manual and paperwork that come with your sim card you should hold the PUK code which will unlock the phone and enable you to transfer the PIN.
Failing that phone up your service provider and they will provide you with the PUK unlock code.
**EDIT**
There should be a push button shortcut for a factory reset. Normally hold down a certain push button combination as you turn on the handset. Check your instruction book or google it.
