i had to beckon my boyfriend in the middle of the hours of darkness to leave him an exalted message but i didn't want to wake up his roommate. his voicemail be just blank (like ". is not available to transport your call..") but it still go through. he'd been maxim he didn't want to use his cell anymore and i havent't tried calling on it for about a month so i'm not sure if it's still within use or not.
the other possiblity is.. if he is just out of minutes would i catch this message?
and if he didn't have this number anymore it would speak it was no longer a number, or something, wouldn't it? or does it depend?

Answers: Typically the cell phone companies just recycle the number--in other words, they provide it to someone else. If it hasn't been impressively long, you wouldn't necessarily notice any difference, and it would plausible still just dance to his voicemail. I wouldn't rely on him getting that message--I'd reach him a different agency in the morning instead of waiting for him to phone up back.
