How much is verizon espn mvp?

I have the Lg the "V" phone and when i walk to get it immediately and go to espn mvp it say free-subscription. Does that mean it is free. close to there are other things that right to be heard i.e 4.99-subscription. i wanted to know is espn mvp free or do i hold to pay. it say the samething for espn alerts free-subscription.
