I've had a 2 year contract next to Alltel that ends Jan 20th. I talked near Alltel customer service and I'm still a little confused. They said that the contract ends on the 20th. After that, I turn on a month to month plan. If I don't want to do that, I have to bid and cancel the month to month plan. So, do I nickname them on the 20th or do I call them on the 21st? If I beckon them on the 20th, will that be considered cancelling the 2 year plan untimely and have to foot charges? If I call them on the 21st, will I already be contained by the month to month plan and will I be charged for that? Another concern is that I'm going with Verizon for my subsequent phone plan. If I want to keep duplicate phone number, at what point do I go to Verizon? The Verizon website said that my phone number must still be live. Do I go to Verizon on Jan 20th or 21st since calling Alltel? If I switch my number to Verizon, do I even have to send for Alltel and let them know I'm finish my contract?
Answers: sky .. first off DONT telephone Altell to cancel your contract they will undo it and you wont be able to port your number to Verizon.
Go to Verizon on the 20th since thats the afternoon they said your out of contract you can port your number then, within other words they will request that your number is given to them from Altell. This WILL cancel your sketch.
Could a contract be 'ended' partially?
