3G on the Iphone.?
So I wasn't mad going on for paying 500-600 the time it came out
But when I hear the iPhone was coming out beside the 3G
I got really cracked
am I gonna have to pay packet for a totally new phone and background plan?
will it come as an update?
or will they add the different 3G for free/replace my current phone
because its totally ridiculous that appl changed the price/upgrade the iPhone which is hurting the AT&T customers.
Answers: To subscribe to the 3G speed there is no auxiliary cost. But, you will be buying the new iPhone that supports it, they will not distribute you one as an exchange for free.
You will have to buy a unmarked iPhone that supports 3G since the change will be hardware related.
That's the price of man an early adopter. I'm sure ATT will hold plans for existing iPhone customers to upgrade their current ones to the newest altered copy for a fee.
I'm not so sure if in attendance is going to be a '3G' iPhone anytime soon. The 3G service that AT&T Mobility networks uses (UMTS HSDPA) has some issues that necessitate to be dealt next to, one of which is the significant increase in device power consumption required to use HSDPA, which would by evasion require a much larger capacity mobile. Given the very slim profile of the current iPhone this may not be feasible.
I dream up you are more than likely to see a CDMA 3G reworked copy of the iPhone (EVDO Rev 0/A) before you see an HSDPA journal. But talks between Verizon and Apple to rollout the iPhone on Verizon's see did not go economically and Verizon is not in any position to redeploy it's mind anytime soon. And Sprint...well let's of late say they hold bigger issues they need to settlement with right at the moment. But given that GSM and CDMA technology are not compatible with respectively other you would need to attain a different iPhone to use EVDO anyways.
All the same I reckon you will not have to verbs about your iPhone man obsolete for at tiniest the next several months, but consequently again the way the mobile phone bazaar works anything could happen and you might hold to pay up anyway if you want the most recent and greatest. That's just the make-up of the beast...
