Phone Help?

I have a phone that I don't resembling, but found a GoPhone (cingular/at&t) that I like ... can I buy a GoPhone and use my SIMS card surrounded by the GoPhone? so i don't have to sign a unknown contract, and i'm not up for a upgrade. All answers are greatly appriciated.

IS the SIM card you enjoy now an ATT/Cingular SIM card or is it by someone else?

If it is an ATT sim card consequently yes you can use the phone, and it wont restart your contract. Anytime you buy a phone outright or a go phone and put your sim card within it, it WILL NOT restart your aggrement. Only when you go to the store and upgrade your stripe to get the discount on the equipment.

If is isnt an ATT/Cingular sim card later no it will not work in the phone. Most phones that you buy contained by the store are locked by that carrier to single work with their SIM card. You can buy unlocked phones and unlocked codes on ebay.
Well, depends on what the dated phone was. I would guess it would work, but why would ou want the sim card? At&t ports your number to your fresh phone for free. If so, you'll have to unlock it. (This is a long and monotonous process, probably not worth your time.)
