.flac format?
Answers: I don't own a portable player that supports flac, but I'll answer you anyway.
Choose the lowest bitrate that you have the time to loaf for. flac is the same nouns quality no concern what you do because it's all lossless. Level 8 will pinch a while to encode whereas level 1 will be quickest. I used even 5 when ripping my CD library. You can other transcode later on to a highly developed compression level, but the space nest egg will be negligible.
