Can a firmware update promote how the ipod classic sounds/output of the ipod's nouns chip?

i've been reading roughly how different the new-gen ipod classics sound compared to the previous-gen ipod video, and a great deal of them have be pointing out that the classics sound "metallic" or something along the lines of it have a slight uplift in treble that sounds unnatural. i haven't bought one nonetheless, tho im pretty sure i'll notice this singular detail... can a firmware update fix this?

Answers:    no, but you should be able to fix it by playing around beside the EQ settings for a bit
Yes because my brother has an iphone and he have a firmware update. This caused the nouns to be much more louder and clearer. Before you could barely hear anything. But very soon its working perfectly. CHEERS!
