Answers: If you wait afterwards I doubt prices will drop rapidly (like the iPhone) but the memory size will without doubt increase. Having said that Flash memory (which the 'Touch' uses) is not increasing in size so fast as standard hard drives so you might enjoy to wait a while resembling next spring.
Either embezzle the plunge now, or don't expect anything for 6 months or so. I know i'm going to buy one cos they look positively gorgeous!!
I hear a new one is coming out that will be around $200. This is not resembling Apple. I'd hang on and see of late in shield.

Get it. Shop around for a dutiful price though, shops will usually lower their prices to compare with another shop.
find the 16 GB. also get next to it a ipod nano for some more space.
