If I buy an ipod touch within America will it work surrounded by UK?

It works one and the same here. Comes with USB to connect to any computer- lately download I-tunes free. You register your details when you plug in i-pod for first time.

It will work without fault!! Anything you purchase in the USA from Apple will work over here contained by the UK. It's especially good near iPods as they don't require a power supply, and come with a USB power/data cable instead, so you won't enjoy to source a UK plug.
When you buy iTunes music it will be specific to the country you're registered in. So surrounded by other words if you're a UK buyer it'll UK prices (79p) etc. The iPod has nil to do with this and is not constrained to work in merely one country, so if you're lucky enough i would recommend buying one from the states. Just bin the paper before your return to the UK so you can bypass customs!!
