How do i delete songs past its sell-by date my ipod nano? (2nd gen)?

i can get into my ipod from My computer but adjectives the songs are named things resembling KJDF and codes like that. assist!!

Answers: cant you just plug your ipod using the usb cable into your computer and unscrew itunes and delete that songs from there? that would be profoundly faster and easier.
