How copious songs would '1 MB' be on a cell phone?

the sony ericsson w300i. thats what my plan comes with.

Answers:    one song is close to AROUND 4 megabytes....(usually)
You probably mean 1 GB, not MB. If it's 1 MB, next none. If it's 1 GB then it's matching as a 1 GB mp3 player. A regular song is 2-6 MB so it depends a little on the song. 1 GB = 1024 MB so 1 Gb could hold close to 200-400 songs, depending on the songs.
1 MB = NO Songs or 1 fairly low competence song. Or just simple bit of a song.

1 GB = 240 MP3. or 480 WMA. Based on 4 minute songs at 128kbps MP3, 64 kbps WMA. If you have a mix of both, expect around the 240 - 480 breadth. Give or take some.
None, a song is bout 3-4 MBs.
