3rd Generation Nano problem?

I just get the 3rd generation nano and it doesn't give the impression of being to work quite one and the same as my 1st and 2nd... every time I plug it in it starts synching automatically, but I enjoy over 7,000 songs on my puter so that's just's just plain doomed to failure. But it wont' stop unless I click "dont' sync" and then I can't do similar to with a 1st or 2nd and a short time ago copy over the music I want. Whether I click 'sync' or no, I can't drag and drop music onto the ipod. The only agency I've gotten the music I want is to make a playliston iTunes, put the songs I want on here, then speak about the nano to only sync to that playlist.

That's ridiculous. how do I get hold of it so it will let me drag and drop music onto the ipod, lacking it syncing to a particular playlist contained by itunes. (or organize music on the ipod itself, or delete indubitable songs, etc).

Basically it's like I own next to no control over what go onto my nano.

Thanks!

i had matching problem and it made me really mad until i figure it out. you have to click on it within itunes-- the same peak where you can opt to auto-sync or not and shift down to teh bottom and click manage music manually.
