Is Limewire court or really against the law??
Answers: The program Limewire is legal.
Having it installed on your computer, or using it, is officially recognized.
Using it to share items in the public domain is legitimate.
However, using it to share copyrighted material (for example the majority of songs, movies) is unsanctioned.
I think it's lawful, as long as you don't pyright.
It all depends on how you use it. If you use it to download copyrighted music and movies, it's illegitimate. If you use it to share media contained by the public domain, it's perfectly decriminalized.
illegal, don't do it.
itunes is better. if the artists you approaching
knew you get your music from limewire they
would be very dissapointed that they draw from no money for their hard work. :[ Buy their music and support your favorite Artists.
I own LimeWire and it is legal. The single thing is if you download a report that might contain a virus, your computer will get it too. I own had LimeWire for give or take a few three years now and the just time I caught a virus was nearly 6 months ago, ever since then, when I download a directory, after it has completely downloaded, I stop sharing the folder. You can do this by going into your library, right clicking on the file and stop sharing it. GOOD LUCK!
it is both some fabric is freeware other the majority is copywritted .hope this helps
i used to use it it have a few viuses but norton anti virus kills them
ok - i consulted an intellectual ruling attorney about this because i run in to a snag beside this type of thing - here is the explanation i get -
limewire itself is NOT illegal but using it to download any files that are copyright protected is and sharing any copyright protected bits and pieces is illegal too. the best rule of thumb to follow is if you didn't payment for a copyright protected file, next it's illegal to download it. you can be fined up to $150,000 per TITLE - so if you download 10 songs and take caught you could be facing a $1,500,000.00 fine. some people read aloud no one ever get caught etc - but keep your eye on the report even research it a bit. not too long ago a group of college kids were prosecuted for piracy and an 11 yr antediluvian girl was as ably.
freeware is available on limewire but the majority of people are looking to download music and movies for free. virus are all over the place and whoever answered in the past that they only get one virus after 3 years is very lucky. a route to prevent getting a virus is after you download the file: put emphasis on it, right click it and the scan for viruses. do this past you open or listen to the record.
the choice is totally up to you - it's a rush to get music and adjectives for free but just close to with anything else - there's a risk to it too!!
is 100%legal
you own more chance of geting within a car fluke than in trouble next to limes
