Put movies on an ipod (mac)?

well i own a macbook pro im trying to put movies ( coppied and pasted ) on my ipod how do i do it ? ..... im not predisposed to buy software since i am broke frm buyingmy macbook pro =)


Answers:    ok well u cant put movies on itunes unless u buy them from the itunes store or if they are quicktime compatible. if u wanna put dvds on it after u have to download this program (im on an ibook so it should work and its free) call handbrake. go to this site and it will hold everything u need to know. and u obligation an ipod video obviously (so if its a nano next sorry!!)

it takes a while but its pretty apt. but dvds with really correct copy protection or that are quite long commonly come out with no nouns so split them into 2 or 3 bits if its over 2 hours or so.
and dont be concerned if it takes approaching 5 hours for one movie it does sometimes.
but its totally worth it.
