Something wrong near my sansa e260 slideshow?

When I first got it,(like 2 weeks ago) when I clicked on a picture, it would automatically be in motion to the next picture, i thought that's how you start the slide show, but very soon when i chose a picture, it would show it, the just turn past its sell-by date the back reading light and go subsidise to the music screen I have. Am I trying to start the slide show the wrong way or what?
