Answers: Why would you want to lock yourself in to Microsoft? They've built their entire business on making ancestors pay over and over for things they've already bought, by making respectively new revision slightly incompatible with the previous. Do you want that to come about to your music collection someday?
The first answerer's response about burning to disc and then reimporting to mp3 be technically correct, but the results will sound close to crap. Most conversions from one lossy compression format to another sound close to crap, actually. I recommend you try out doesn`t matter what you plan to do before you commit to doing your full collection that way.
Gia Bea: You are correct that Apple also tries to lock you within. I wouldn't recommend getting in bed next to either of them. :) But Microsoft is more not respectable for it. For example, Microsoft set up a standard called "Plays For Sure," that be intended to guarantee that tracks with Plays For Sure would play on any such device. Guess what? The Zune doesn't support Plays For Sure. So you enjoy to buy your tracks again, or convert them, possibly illegally. Only Microsoft could return with away with something close to that.

Change the itunes failure to pay from aac to mp3. Go to edit/preferences/advanced/import.
Make a playlist of protected aac songs (purchased songs) no more than 1.2 hours long. Burn it to a disc and reimport it into itunes without taking that disc out. It will introduction the songs with adjectives the songs info in tact contained by the unprotected mp3 format and you can use them on any other music player.
If you take the cd out beforehand you import it later you will lose the song info!
I have done this to adjectives my purchased itunes music and I cannot tell the difference between formats.
I hold had an ipod since the first classmates and now hold a video ipod. The music is fine when you do this.
is there really a software that converts itune bought songs to play contained by a zune?
if thats possible then yeah take the zune 80gb though cuase it has a wider blind and is better than all the other zunes out within.
