IPod Trouble.?

Okay, so I just uploaded in the order of 500 songs on my ipod, over the course of 2 months. I go to charge it, and it said that I necessitate restore to its orignal settings. Do I really have to? What would ensue if I don't? It would be a pain to enjoy to reupload all of the songs again. Help?

Answers:    Well you should first see if it happen over and over if it is continueous and you cant listen to music you should first reset it(hold the the middle and play button together till the screen go blank*this will not do anything to your songs if it does you need to take a new ipod) afterwards if it still happens yes you will stipulation to. after restoreing it i would put about 5 songs it and try and play or do doesn`t matter what you did that made the message come up. if its fine id put the rest contained by then try it again and play or do doesn`t matter what you did that made the message come up once again if the message still comes up then i would go and get a new one... ofcourse when i read out get a strange one contact who ever you got your ipod from to receive your warrenty enforced
