How exactly will the unknown ipod touch's Wi- fi work?

do i need to buy anything else approaching a wireless router or anything cause the ipod itself will run me almost 400 plus tax plus internet?? or does apple cover that?


Answers:    If you already hold wireless internet at your house, your new Touch will find it.... Starbucks will eventually be providing wireless access (or wi-fi) for your Touch to access iTunes store ONLY... you won't know how to access the generic internet via their wi-fi in their shops unless you wage the wi-fi charge... or "hotspot" charge (whatever it may be called). Apple does NOT provide your with wireless internet access... you must purchase that through your local internet provider... and yes, you'll inevitability a wireless router (d-link or apple) to go along near the internet provider service.

Apple is assuming you already have wireless internet access available.... the wi-fi hotspots are adjectives over town.

Keep in mind that Starbucks will sympathetic up their wi-fi to the new Touch for iTunes store access ONLY and it isn't slated to come about for another month or two and only within limited locations (i.e. Seattle and New York) THIS year... and later more locations starting in 2008.
You don't involve a router. It think uses indistinguishable wi-fi as the iPhone, you can use the internet as long as have signal.
