I would say that unless you own super dog hearing, you wouldn't even be capable of tell the difference unless the level is super super SH***TY... I have downloaded music for years, and I undoubtedly have hear real authentic CD's. The average home Computer presently a days has the processing power and technology to essentially copy the cd exactly how it would be copied in a factory.
