Does anyone know the best LEGAL site to download things for my video iPod?

I have a video iPod and I want to find a site that i don't enjoy to pay per download. I enjoy heard of a couple resembling iPod Downloads Pro, but i'm not sure they are entirely legal or not. How do you know if they are endorsed? Any suggestions on good sites?
