i thought once you plug the ipod into the computer it transfered automatically but it did not

Answers:    It depends on how your iPod is set up. If you'd like for it to automatically sync later you have to get sure it's selected within the iPod window within iTunes. To change this, connect your iPod and select it when it appears within iTunes. Uncheck "manually manage music and videos" and it will ask you if you're sure you don't want to manually get by your music and videos as it will delete everything contained by the iPod and replace it with your library. Select "ok" and it should automatically do it everytime you connect it. You can also set it up to individual sync selected playlists.
However, I don't recommend doing any.
I have mine set up to manually direct music and videos.
To seize your songs in your iPod this approach you can click sync or drag and drop songs/videos/movies/playlists into the iPod.
you have to enjoy iTunes 7 i believe. That may be a problem if u don't
