I just get a new mac. how do i put the songs from my ipod onto my library on my investigational computer.
Answers: I don't think you can do this in general with the itunes software.
I believe near is 3rd party software out within that you can purchase that will remove the music from your ipod and put it on your computer, but I don't believe Itunes does this natively.
The new version of iTunes will allow you to sync your music back from your iPod. It solely allows you to do this with purchased music though.
