Answers: Follow these directions exactly.
1. go to c:\windows\system32\drivers
2. find these files: secdrv.sys, sptd.sys and sptdXXXX.sys (XXX is a number)
3.copy and fasten these files in some other place simply in defence.
4. rename or delete these files
5. reboot your machine
6. re-insert your IPOD
If it's plugged into a USB hub, afterwards unplug it and plug the ipod straight into the USB port on your computer.
You can also try restarting your ipod by holding down the MENU and Select buttons until you see the Apple icon on the blind.
If those don't work, make sure your iTunes is up-to-date. If not, walk to itunes.com and download the latest magazine. Then, restart your computer, wait 'til everything loads up, depart iTunes, then plug surrounded by your ipod.
Best of Luck!
