Can you plug your MP3 player into a stereo?

In my case its an iPod touch. Do you requirement some kind of jack?

Answers:    Depends on the type of stereo. Have a look at the different plugs on the stereo.

If in that is a plug that is 3.5mm huge (the same size as a headphone jack) labeled input or aux or something other than phone, you just involve a 3.5mm male-male audio cable (http://www.amazon.com/QVS-CC400M-06-Male... to run from your ipod's headphone jack to the stereo. You may need to adjust the stereo settings for example nick it off compact disc mode and put it into input/aux mode.

The only other approach this works is if there is a red and white RCA plug (see here to see what RCA plugs look close to http://site.sharkacomputers.com/images/z...
If so, you can plug you ipod in by using a standard 3.5mm stereo to 2 RCA cable. Like this one http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storef... next you just plug the headphone expire into your ipods headphone jack and the other two red and white plugs into their respective holes on your stereo.

If your stereo has neither of these, you may want to consider an FM Radio Transmitter such as this one http://www.griffintechnology.com/product...

They are the three ways you can connect your ipod to a stereo (as far as i know these are the with the sole purpose ways you can connect your ipod to a stereo)

Hope this helps
