Right now I enjoy all my songs on my computer within mp3 format. If I install iTunes, and get an iPod, will I hold to convert my files to iPod format? Or can you put mp3s on an iPod.
Answers: MP3's are fully compatible with ipods and itunes. However, you can relocate every song in your library to AAC. That format is a better format. Uses smaller number space and has better nouns than MP3 or MP4.
If you just prefer to use MP3, you are fine, though.
Mp3's do play on ipods. So all you'll own to do is import your music into itunes and you'll be apposite to go.. b/c you requirement itunes to put stuff on an ipod. But you will not have to convert the files. Most of my music is contained by mp3 format also.
