Zen Micro won't play songs or connect to computer.?

I have a zen micro mp3 player to be precise about 2 years outdated. I was of late listening to a song give or take a few 20 minutes ago and when I hit the next button to move onto a different song it said "No license to play track"
So I took out the battery-operated because it has done this in the past, thinking that it would work again but it didn't.
Napster just charged me my pay envelope to go price so I know it's not that. I downloaded the unknown napster the other day but I don't feel that would be an issue.

The darn thing won't even connect to my laptop or my desktop.

It single plays my songs that I uploaded from my cds.

I just don't get hold of it. It was working an hour ago.
