Problem near putting my ipod touch fund to factory settings?

Is it easier to hold down the home and power button and do it that way or to click restore surrounded by the iTunes window? Because i tried the Home and the Power button but it simply turns mine off, can someone please abet me?

Answers:    Yeah the hold and power button thing is not expected to restore to factory settings. That's just sort of a reset that may seize rid of some buggyness. That will not erase your ipod.

If you want to completely restore your ipod so it's like you simply took it out of the box and nothing is on it later you need to plug it into itunes. Once you do that click on the ipod deity in the sourcepannel so you are looking at the eyeshade that has the picture of your ipod and shows how much space you've used.. after just hit the button that say restore to factory settings.
